Information on other student organisations Depending on your personal circumstances, there may be other student organisations, as well as the Students' Union, which you are invited to become a member of. A few examples are outlined below.
If you are enrolling on a post-graduate course at the University of York, you will be represented by the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA). The GSA provides support and organises social events specifically for post-graduates. Click here for further information on the GSA. The interests of postgraduate students at York St John University are represented by their SU.
There is also an Overseas Students’ Association (OSA) at the University of York. Every university student who is registered as an overseas or EU (not UK) student is automatically a member of this student-run body. The OSA offers welfare services and organises entertainment for its members. Click here for further information on the OSA.
The Student Families Association (SFA) is open to couples, couples with children and single parents studying at the University of York. This group believes that families are an important part of student life and provides a network of support, information, social events and activities for student families. Click here for more information on the SFA. |
