About the Event
This conference will showcase best practice in the use of learning technologies which enhance teaching and learning. The focus is on sharing practical approaches across the City of York that have proven to be effective in enhancing the student learning experience. This free one-day conference, now in its second year, is provided by the Higher York e-Learning Network (a collaborative group of practitioners from The University of York, York St John University, York College and Askham Bryan College).
The primary audience: lecturers, tutors and teachers from higher, further and secondary education, and staff who support academics in course delivery, drawing on delegates from York's colleges and universities.
Themes and discussion tracks
The event will showcase best practices across a range of themes and inspire conference participants by providing them with a range of practical illustrations and tips which are transferable to their own instructional practice. The conference will foster opportunities for cross-institutional networking and the establishment of communities of practice in support of the following themes:
· Transition to higher education
· Academic skills development
· Assessment & feedback
· Active learning design
Call for contributions
