About this data
Across the Higher York partnership, we have an excellent and wide-ranging expertise base. We have research institutions, academics and expertise networks that have a lot to offer to the public policy discourse. Furthermore, many of these researchers and networks want to hear about the challenges policy practitioners are currently facing. However, too often, people don’t know who to contact, and the links between and within these groups never get established. The Higher York Expertise Database has been designed to facilitate the creation of these links. It is sorted by area of expertise, and includes the contact details of networks of expertise as well as individual research practitioners. Each entry has a summary of the expertise that they can offer.
The Expertise Database is the legacy of the wider Higher York Think Tank Project which aimed to bring researchers and local policy practitioners closer together. Higher York will continue to host events and seminars through which greater dialogue between learners, experts, and local policy practitioners can be facilitated. If you have a particular need for expertise which you can't find in the database, please contact us.
