Craven College in top ten colleges in the country
The Department of Children, Schools and Families has published its achievement and attainment tables this week, based on the performance of 16-18 yr old students at level 3, including A levels, BTECs and other qualifications.
The tables show the average points score per student, comparing general FE colleges across the country, Craven College is placed ninth out of over 190 other providers. This outstanding result puts the college in the top ten in the country way ahead of many of its local competitors. This achievement is evidence of the hard work put in by Craven College students, supported by the committed teaching and support staff.
The tables show a steady improvement for the college since 2006
Craven College Principal, Alan Blackwell comments on this success, ‘Firstly College students and staff should be very proud of their achievements. The figures show they are studying and working in one of the best colleges in the country. Secondly, I would hope that the whole community is also suitably proud of their College, because we are here to serve them.
Bearing in mind the district’s selective schools system, these results really are superb, but we are not going to rest on our laurels and will continue our progression to be acknowledged as the very best College in the North of England.” |
